The Great North Korean famine 

1994 – 1998

  • ~2,000,000 North Korean's dies of starvation, almost 10% of 22 Million people.

  • In 2017 the UN reported that 2 in 5 (40%) people are undernourished.
    North Korean Nuclear Weapons Program

  • 2006 - North Korea detonated a plutonium based device underground.

  • 2013 - Detonated a miniaturized nuclear device with "greater explosive force" in an underground test.

  • 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 – Numerous nuclear and weapons tests.
